- A Windows task may be interrupted either by a malfunctioning firewall or the blocking of QB from running on the network
Practical Fixes That Work to Eliminate the QuickBooks Error H202
To remove the error code H202 from your device, you need to follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: On your server device, launch QB Database Server Manager
- Open the Network Issues section in the QuickBooks Tool Hub > from there, select QuickBooks Database Server Manager
- If QuickBooks is not installed on your server computer, you’ll be prompted to install it before proceeding
- In the QBDSM window, click Start Scan if your company file folders are already visible
- If they aren’t listed, select Browse to find the company file, then tap Start Scan. The Database Server Manager wil automatically adjust your Windows Firewall settings during the scan
- As the procedure is finished, click Close > open QBDT on each workstation where you are seeing error H202
- Move to the File tab > click Switch to Multi-User Mode
- If your server device is also used as a aworksatton make sure to perform this step there as well

Step 2: Check the services on the server system
- Go to your server device > click the Windows key to open the Start menu
- In the search box, type Run > click Enter. When the Run window opens, type services.msc and press Enter again
- From the list of services, locate QuickBooksDBXX and double click it to openthe Properties window
- Under the General tab, set the Startup type to Automatic
- Next, check the service statu it should show Running or Started. If it isn’t, click Start
- Now, switch to the Recovery tab
- For First Failure, Second Failure, and Subsequent Failures, choose Restart the Service from the drop-down menus. Click Apply, then OK to save the changes
